How do you guys heat your rubbermaids?
Just wondering how everyone heats there rubbermaids? Im looking for a nice fast way to heat them? Im getting two new boas next week and have two smaller rubbermaids that will house them during quarantine but after that Im taking them out of them and transfering them to larger ones.
Thanks
Rich

I use UTH's, get 3 or 6 in. Heat Tape w/ thermostates. Or get heating pads at Wal-Mart. Remember to have a 'Cool' side!

I think that imma go either with human heat pads or the sticky ones and add foil to it (thanks dank). So I can reuse them. I know there has to be a cool end. Thanks

use a heat pad that will cover both of them if possible. I woke up today way to early looking at my little boas and noticed there thermostat was dropping. So I got up and temp gun it and the 1 out of the 3 was cold and the other two were wayyyyyyy HOTTTT! Luckly It went south rite as I woke up 3 hours after going to bed this morning. Im getting some flex watt today and setting them up with one strip to cover all 3 tubs... I have gotten word that the human heat pads work great too.
Hope this helps you out.

Human heat pads work alright. I have been using one for almost 2yrs now and another for 6 months. The 2yr old one has like broken in and keeps it nice at a toasy 90 on low. But the newer one on low gets above 95 so i seperate the tub and the heat mat with a towel folded in it. Then add a few layers of newspaper on the inside (extra on the hot side). It works once you get them at the right temps.

For the larger sterilite tubs that are used more like actual tanks instead of on a rack, I also cut a square or round hole in the lid wherever the warm side will be, the diameter of the dome light I want to use, and I sew a piece of screen to it with wire, or I just duct tape the wire to the lid... so you can still have relatively high heat bulbs, but it won't melt the plastic. Then of course I use heat tape on the warm side also. And you can always cover it up later by taping some plastic over it.
