Heat lamp question.

Can you put a heat lamp directly on a reptarium ot do you need a feww inches of space in between the lamp and the mesh?

I used to have a regular mesh reptarium and had the heat lamp directly on top of it,BUT you need to make SURE the animal can not get too close to the lamp/heat and burn itself. If it is a lizard you are putting in there, keep in mind it might climb the mesh on the top and bask upside down right under where you have the lamp sitting and burn itself. So,keep the climbing branches far enough away so it isn't tempted to get up there.
Good luck!

I hope that made sense the way i meant it to

What are you putting in it?(just curious)
