home made racks
I am going to start biulding new racks. I want to make them a little different then the norm. Anyone have any ideas or even pics of ones you've made to get ideas. My tubs are rubbermaid SnapToppers 22.8x16.7x7in and I keep the lids on. TIA

i have a similar (but but less professional looking) setup but they're only large enough for juveniles. i love the removable boxes WITH lids like that but i could never bring myself to simply "sterilite" it. we'd love some more information

They are actually not lids. i think "acrylic sleeve" would be more accurate.

are you willing to share the other pertinent info?
i get the vibe from your thread that you have no intentions of letting anyone know your sources.
i hope you're not one of those guys who has to be one-up on all the neighborhood kids because that's so bad for the hobby. i can't wait to tell everyone when i find a cheap but attractive alternative to buying $300 cages

I find that mildly offensive and don't appreciate your tone. I particularly don't like the fact that you edited your post to make it MORE offensive. It is also moot since considering that if you read the thread it mentions the Container Store. Not to mention other threads of mine such as http://redtailboa.net/forums/caging-...-revealed.html .

YOU didn't mention the container store and never answered one of the latter posts. i was personally interested in THOSE cages, not just plastic cages in general. even after that "the container store loves you" comment, you replied with a "no doubt.........." but never said once that they were the source. i've never even heard of it so forgive my lack of inference. if you aren't one of those guys, then great, they're annoying and bad for the hobby and there is no way you should be offended by a statement aimed at those guys. you even replied here twice before confirming anything. i just wanted some info.

Sorry if that was unclear. I will try to draw things in Crayon for you in the future. I keep forgetting that there are young children here that are incapable of drawing simple conclusions or simply asking a question.
And again you edit your original post in an apparent effort to make it more condescending and in a tone that I don't appreciate, again. So if your aim of joining was to make me think that you are a twit, you succeeded. And I look forward to leaving tact at the door when I rebut you in the future. Basically accusing me of withholding husbandry information or any information that would benefit herpetoculture for personal gain is highly offensive to me and I don't take that lightly.
