Old Cabinet Style TV = Ball Python Cage...

i havnt been on here for a while but i figured i would show yall this bit of info
Turning This..


into a ball python cage fit for the Royal...

Step one...
Get hands Dirty... Clean out all the guts of the tv...

(dont have pics for this part)
Step 2...
cover large gap in floor where projectors were...

Step 3 & 4...
Tile walls and floor, and add general lighting



Step 5...
set up switches for general lighting and heat light (to be added later)


(general tip... heat light cages can be made out of anything... as long as its fire proof)
$3 at walmart... cheapest heat light cage ever... (metal basket)


Step 6...
Install heat light, and cage



almost done!

Step 7..
put on glass (hopefully you messured the old tv screen so get perfict match)
and silicone around every corner (you dont have to do the top) and dont forget any cracks inbetween stick on tiles... and then around the glass


LET THE SILICONE DRY AND AIR CAGE OUT COMPLEATLY... you dont want you snake getting high... or worse... dieing...

also, before adding anything (and after you have let the silicone dry) let cage sit closed (without animals in it) with both lights on for a few hours... then check temp... you WILL have to add air holes to the side! but you need to get a general idea of the heat that will build up in the cage

last but not least...

drill holes were you want (or might want in the future) so adding fake plants is easy and pain free and soo is taking them out for cage cleaning day

Cool! Took a T.V entairtainment center and made it into an Ig cage once. Lasted about 2 months and tossed it as the door was flimsy. Now my Ig residedes in my closet with free access to any part of my bedroom with shelves at each window.

nice... seeing as i now have 2 BPs... i needed to move my larger ball up to a bigger cage... so as soon as its done hes moving in there and the baby is moving into his old 40 gal breeder..

An old cage idea, but a classic. **hint**computer monitors old MACs work for smaller ones

go to the thrift shop and see it they have old tvs... i actualy got the idea from a guy on another forum... but he hadnt built any... he was thinking about it... but i have seen some what larde wood cabinet tvs at good will...
