A Heat Tape Question

I'm redoing a rack I have set up with some of my snakes and I want to put heat tape on the back of the shelf system ...

Okay, this is what I have ... A four-shelf black metal rack (like from Wal-Mart) with stacks of sterilites on two of the shelves. What I'm planning on is getting a piece of MDF cut to fit the back of the shelf section and then securing it to the back of the rack.

Okay ... now that I've gone through all of that, here's my question. I want to glue the FlexWatt to the MDF (as opposed to using a roll of foil tape) but I don't know what would be the best stuff to use. I need something that is safe and will hold it securely.

Any ideas????

i used small brads(like for hanging pictures) and cleap packaging tape. If you use tape, make sure to clean the curface first.
