What would be best?
El is now in a terrium, 4'Lx18"Wx24"H, and I'm not sure this is big enough for him. He is a bit over 4' now (he is a BP) and would like to set up his permanent home. Have been thinking of adding a dam to the top of the terrium and putting it on it's side to allow for more 'floor' space. Would need heat tape and a thermastat for heat this way, I think. Or building him a new home. What is your opinion?

I think a lot of ball python owners keep their bps in an enclosure with similar dimensions for life.

I dont think it is too small. I think perhaps the height is 'wasted space' but the floor space is plenty for El.

Well . . . if ya'all think this is the right size then I will start making it into his permanent home. Want to get some plastic to cover one half of the top instead of a towel, then. Since he loves to climb around think I will research and try to make him some 'toys' as well.
