Steralizing Moss

When I was out hunting, I came across several different types of mosses that would look great in my setups. I was wondering if there is any way to make it sterile to use in with the snakes. I was planning on growing the moss up so I could use more of it to be assured that it was all parasite free.

Thanks

Please be very careful - some types of moss can be toxic. I think plain Sphagnum Moss is really the only moss that can be safely used as a substrate for most reptiles (though there are some decorative mosses that are used with frogs and such). Check out Black Jungle Terrarium supply, you can probably see the different types of safe moss there. Poison Dart Frogs, Exotic Tropical Plants & Vivarium Supplies
