Can you wash Repti-Bark? I use this stuff currently for my snakes, but the dust level of the bark worries me with my Dumeril who spends most of his time buried or burowing in it. I was wondering if I can rinse this stuff in a strainer or something and then let it dry to help remove a lot of the dust. Would that work or would it make no difference, or would getting it wet be too much of a bacteria risk? Sorry to have to ask but I just thought of this now, and I'm not at home to try my idea...
TIA

the zoo med bark recomends boiling it once a month, and not more that two boilings I belive. flukers says to toss it after one month. before you put the bark in, you can boil it, that gets rid of the dust, set it outafter you boil it until it's almost dry. boiling it before use helps humidity also. got any pics of your dum? -Juggalo
