Shower board?
How much heat can shower board take?
I plan on using some for my uromastyx. They require 120+ heat. Didnt know if it can melt this board.
With to much heat, will it give off poisoness gases?
Plastic can do this, didnt know if this can.
Does it stractch easily?
My uros love to stracth the sides of the cage, i didnt want little claw marks everywhere.

shouldnt be a problem, the scratching though is what i would be worried about. because the plastic (white part) isnt too thick so if it comes off the board probably doesnt hold water as well

I've never taken a blow torch to it to see exactly how far it can go, but your uro's will be very happy in it. The plexi doors however will take a beating from the claws and probably need replaced every couple of years.

I wouldnt see a problem with the tileboard and humidity - especially if its sealed well. Of course, I wouldnt fill it with water but I figure if it can be used on a shower, it can hold up fine to humidty. I dont know though - ask brett he's the showerboard guy...

good thing uromastyx's dont need humidity. I wont use plexi for the doors. I'm using screen doors that has the pet screening. Not even my cat can tear through this screening.

It's used to make showers. Why does he think humidity would be an issue? lol. That's silly...and yes. I use it for Emerald tree boa cages and keep anywhere from 90-100% and they look as good as the day they were built.

I know what screen you are referring to. Its great stuff. I used it on the top of my large boa cage, and the heat rises so I couldnt keep the temp right.
I ended up covering most of the screen to keep in the heat. So, you may want to make sure the mesh is a small area..otherwise you will lose all your heat..Just some advice based on my mistake.

yeah ill do that. What im giong to do is make a basic box with MDF, then glue down the showerboard, add a glass front door, a few vents, then its finished.
Now what about scratching the showerboard, will this be an issue?
