Cage?
I am trying to decide on what kind of cage to purchase for RTBs and Dums. I have narrowed it down to a boaphile like this one: http://www.boaphileplastics.com/cages.html
or a vision like this one: http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/...0-vision-cage/
Any suggestions or ideas would be nice.

I love my Boaphiles. I wouldn't get anything else, or even think of attempting to build a cage myself. Here's a pic of my 3 cages.......The top 2 are 422d's one of which has a shelf. The bottom cage is a 421d which serves as a stand and storage for my extra supplies and junk for the Boas . Both of the 422d's have the expandable end in case my Boas ever outgrow their cages.

Here's a pic of the 422d without the shelf (which I reccomend):
I personally only beleive in more natural looking setups I think they look much better that way especially with the cage being all black.

Yeah, that's sweet! Boaphiles are pretty nice. I think I'm either going with a boaphile or an animal plastics. Do your boas use the height in a 422d? None of mine have ever had any use for height, so I am kind of curious. 421d seems to be sufficient. Explain how this expandable end thing works for me please. That seems kind of cool; add two feet as needed, right? What type of heat do you use?
Thanks again,
Jimi

As far as the height I have a big plastic tree in 1 and my Boa likes to hang out half on it and the other half on the ground. Plus I find it's easier to get in to clean w/the 17 1/2. The expandable ends have wing nuts and a wall the comes off and you can put any other Boaphile 2ft, 3ft 4ft and so on and attach it to the opening. I bought the flexwatt installed from Boaphile w/the thermostat also plus the flourescent lights in each cage.

If you look at my pics that I posted before you can see the big fake tree I'm talking about, plus the shelf. I only have 2 Boas but if I ever get another I'm getting the 422d without the shelf.

Yeah...I think the 422d would be better, I'd just hate to spend 150 more and have it not be used...UNO?

hehehe Not easy..........But if I ever decide to buy another Boa (which would only be a Hypo) I'm covered. Even though I don't see that happening anytime soon Plus I wouldn't put a Boa in a cage only a foot high even though I'm sure they'll be perfectly happy and healthy but I figure if I'm gonna do it I better do it right especially after all the time on this site. I want my Boas to actually smile at me
