A Better Way To Cut Plexi...?
Anyone know of a better way to cut plexiglass? I'm probably going to start going to Lowe's to get mine cut now... as long as they have a quicker easier way of cutting the stuff. I have literally destroyed a perfectly good piece of 4'x3' foot plexi tonight out of trying several times to cut different ways, and using the cutting tool kills my hand so bad just trying to push down hard enough for it to cut out enough plexi, cutting the same line 100 times, even with a new cutting tool, and it's so difficult to cut in a long straight line using the cutting tool, also. I normally don't just destroy plexi like this but somehow I did, and now I'm REALLY mad and frustrated to the point of tears. This stuff is NOT cheap for a full sheet!!!

It's acrylic, now that I look at the paper that was attached to it. It's the same sheet I used to cut the doors for my big 6 foot cage.
I even tried cutting it with the jigsaw(says it can be cut with most saws) which was going fine except it would get hot and when I stopped the saw to pull the sheet closer to me to cut more and I started the saw again, it cracked it. I probably need to position the sheet on something better where it won't bend while I'm cutting it and that was the problem. And I also don't really have a fine-tooth blade for it... I probably should look around for one.

Lowes will cut even your own pieces at no charge, or at least the one here will.. Its sort of a pain to take it there...They also have a glass cutting tool at Hobby lobby or Lowes you can pick up.

Well... I was going to have to buy a new sheet of acrylic soon anyway, so I'll probably pick up a sheet there and have them cut it for me... 8 5/8"x42 1/2" pieces... and 6 of them. lol Oh they'll just love me lol
What's the glass cutting tool look like? oh nevermind i'll look it up on the net... lol
