boaphile questions...
im looking to buy a 6x2x1 boaphile cage but am unsure about the height. is 1' too low? dont boas like to climb? if hes eating will be be able to lift his high high enough off the ground to swallow it if he wants? is it difficult wrestling a larger boa back into his cage with only a 1' of height to work with? its either that or i am gonna go with the 5x2x17.5" cage. i just dont know what to do. any input?

right now about 5 feet but growing fast. And if im throwing down that kind of money i kinda want it to be his permanent home. also i keep refering to my boa as "he" but honestly i dont know if its male or female as i know females tend to be larger.

I guess its just preferance. I know boaphile's are commonly very short like that, I have a 4x2x2 to me a 6x2x2 would seem to be the ideal cage for an adult.

definitley a 17.5" high cage, because if one day your boa is a little cranky you will be happy with your choice of the higher cage, gives you alot more room to move around and clean too.

A 1 foot tank is kinda slim. I'd do what everyone else is saying with the 6x2x2... or even better, build your own tank! You could make it 10X2x4 if you wanted.
I don't think adult boas like to climb much.

I have the 4'x2'x11.6" stack pack I don't have any problems with getting mine in and out, but my snakes are all nice.
I can see where cleaning could be an issue, but only if you're a big guy.

My boaphile is only a foot high and it has never been a problem for me. As for feeding, I never feed him in there so I couldn't tell ya, although his feed tote is even shorter...
Putting him back in his cage is never an issue, with all my snakes one I point their head towards the cage they are gone. As long as I point them towards a hide they head straight for it.

yea 12 inches should be enough, but you never know maybe your snake will wake up on the wrong side of the cage lol. i like taller cages because i think a nice tall cage gives you a better view and looks nicer
