What is the best substrate for burmese pythons?
Aspen ?
Cypress ?
Newspaper ?
What are some pros and cons?

Newspaper- Easy to clean, free to replace, don't have to worry about them swallowing any when feeding. It doesn't look as nice as some of the other substrates but it is definately the most efficient.

I hear that anything cheap is good because when they poo, the whole substrate has to go. Newspaper or aspen would be best I would say

newspaper. have fun paying for either of the other when the burm is full size, newpaper is not the prettiest, but the snake wont mind, i promise.

yea, newspaper is cheap and easy. not great for humidity, but i still prefer newspaper over anything else

I don't care for all the ink and text print on the newspaper, so I buy just plain newsprint paper in 3x100 foot rolls from DickBlick.com and it's much nicer looking than newspaper and cheap.
