To all the people looking to use sterilite
Oh what a differance a foot can make. I may be getting a bp soon and bought a 58q sterilte for it. I set it up today and decide to run some tests to get an idea of what I ned to do for heat. Had it setting on the floor and I couldnt break 72 ( this is with a 75w IF red light), so I pulled one of my unused end table over and sat it on top.... BAM was up to 82 before I knew it. Ok so maybe its 20.3 inches lol. Just a lil info in case somone runs into a problem getting temps up.

Yeah, I have my Carpet Pythons cage on the floor and it takes a lot more to get the heat up than my boaphile which is several feet up.

Yeah I've noticed this with the sterilite containers, too. I have a shelving unit with a bunch of those big underbed boxes with my ball pythons in it. I keep the last enclosure towards the bottom off the bottom shelf because its so much cooler down by the floor, and up towards the ceiling it's nice and toasty... which my blood python's enclosure works great on the top shelf.
