New Substrate Update
Back in the fall, I decided to try painter's dropcloth (the canvas kind) as a substrate in my 6'x2'x2' melamine.
At the time I posted it and there were many questions about it moving, etc.
Well, my Boa decided that she would only relieve herself in my bathtub since then, and I haven't had much of a test - until today!
She emtied herself of every rat she (and most of her extended family) have ever eaten today, or at least that's what it seemed like.
The drop cloth was super absorbant and soaked up all the liquids, it has cleaned up beautifully in the washing machine and with the use of hides, branches and water bowls to weigh it down, the drop cloth doesn't move around.
Ladies and gentleman, if you are a fan of repticarpet and have been searching for something similar but on a larger scale, drop cloths work great!!!
They are cheap, readilly available, come in all sorts of sizes, and are quite servicable in the wahser.
Give it a whirl. I think you'll like it.
