need help with a new set-up

I am getting my cages built soon and i have some money to spend on heating and stuff. I want to internally mount heat tape in my cages, what should i buy for the cages. I know how much heat tape i need and i need a thermostat, but do i need anything else. I also am buying a heat gun to set the thermostat perfectly
