If you're talking about those nylon mesh ones I wouldn't recommend it. You'd never be able to keep up the humidity. Although I'm sure there are some types you can keep that don't require such, I believe the basic consensus I've read here in some of the forums and threads is non-supportive of these for snakes.

I'm sure someone else will add to this.

I don't reccomend reptariums to anyone for snakes. They are not secure enclosures for snakes and keeping the humidity and temperature up can be a real pain.

I wouldn't use one for any snake that requires humidity....but other than the fact that it is hard to see inside them well, they are ok for some colubrids. I have one. I use it for an RI treatment cage. I have a 7 foot labrynith burm that had pneumonia all winter...and while treating him...I had to keep his humidity down. Nightlight, and day time basking light...human heat pad under it....he stayed plenty warm....I also covered the front of the cage with a towel to keep the celing fan from cooling it at night....once he's all better...just pull out the plastic support and toss in the washing machine....ready for next patient. Other than that....they are great for chameleons.
