The shop to snake house transformation - stage 4

Things have been going along pretty much on schedule. I got the blocking done earlier today and then had some other business to attend to like eating etc... Then I installed the insulation board on the ceiling and got it all screwed off. And if you are wondering why there are not any screws on the seams of the ceiling it is because I placed the blocks so that I could attach it without having the metal caps interfearing with the tape on the seams. On the walls it is different because I am using plastic capped nails. Hence the reason I am typing this instead of being out the finishing the insulation board on the walls. I don't want to make the neighbors any madder than I have to.
But here is what is done so far. I will finish it all up tomorrow including hanging the door and taping all the seams. I am still aiming for a Sunday move in for the snakes if all goes as planned.

Actually my wife is pretty excited about this too. She has MS and has a hard time coming upstairs to where the snake room is now. And with it being right outside she will no longer be "out of the loop" as she says. And she is also excited because she really likes the new carpet pythons I just got and now she will be able to interact with them more. I feel very lucky that I have a wife who loves animals the way I do.

looking good there david. wish we could do that, but we'll contemplate that once we get our house later this year. Zeus is doing great BTW. He's been very protective of Hera this week as she's about to shed. Hopefully it'll be nice out soon and i can get some good pics of him for you. Take good care of those snakes
