Ok, step one of course is to get everything out of the building and get it clean. In the process I found that when the shop was built (before I moved here) they didn't use any treated lumber for the bottom plates except for where the door was. IDIOTS!
The bottom plate alond the side between the house and and shop was mostly rotted out and is going to be replaced with a treated bottomplate that will run almost the whole side. The upper end was ok and I am going to seal the outside with flashing and black mammy so there will never be any water issue again. But as you will see in the pictures there are just bare studs with black paper and then siding so it is basically like starting from scratch. The work bench and other stand that was used for one of my burm cages a few years ago are coming out and only the workbench is going to be replaced. That will hold my stacks of vision cages quite nicely without me having to bend down too much to clean and such.
So without further ado here is the beginning of the project. I will be taking pictures of the different stages and creating galleries as it progresses.
