Wink attatching a probe to the tank

how do you attatch the probes to the cage if they are not sticky probes? Tape I heard is bad; if it isn't, what kind of tape would be good? Silicone? But I don't know how to stick a probe and hold it with silicone that does't seem very doable. Hold it for 10 hours till it sets lol.

Assuming you are talking about thermostat probes? I don't stick mine in place I usually zip tie it to an object or a bent piece of rod, In my Hognose tank it just hangs straight down 2 -3" short of the ground. I have attached a photo of the rod option, and free hanging.
