I have 2 boaphile cages, i think they're great. They should be fine for a full grown RTB, he is a boa breeder after all.

I, personally, do not like Boaphiles. I have built cages out of the exact same material, and I feel it is inferior. And the new "locks" he is using are not safe in my humble opinion. They are simply keyless cam locks. I dont trust a cage that the snake can possibly unlock from the inside.
But there are people that love them and swear by them. I believe that each type of cage, whether it be Boaphile, Animal Plastic, Vision, Precision, Barrs, Neodesha etc, have aplace in the market and are suited to certain applications. There is just no place in my Herp Room or Hot Room for many of them, including Boaphile.
Just my 2 cents.

The thing that bothers me about Boaphile cages is they come only 4' long, which in my opinion is a little short for a full grown adult boa (5' to 6' is better). Now you can join two Boaphiles together to make 8', but that's a bit of overkill. So, personally speaking, cage builders selling 4' long cages for mature boas is a bit misleading.
As BW states...just my 2 cents too.

If you like plastic type cages Boaphile cages are one of the better ones on the market in my opinion. I personally like my adult boas to have a 6' long cage. You should try and make your own cage first. This way it will be just the way you like it. Here is pictures of a cage I made for my own personal use. It is designed for boa constrictors. Each cage is 6' wide, X 24" deep X 20" high. The total height is 88".
Take care
Tom

Tom you have some big flaws in those cages.... you should send them to me so I can try to fix them for you
Juliussqueezer has posted some good information on building some cages out of shower surround material. Search the caging forum and you can come up with some killer ideas.

I agree with bw on the locks, they could be better.. as i said i like'm, don't swear by them. Myself I would love the build something, but the time just isn't there to do it. Definitly wouldn't suggest'em for a HOT. I don't use them for Boa's myself.
