Enclosure size opinions wanted

I'm thinking of biting the bullet and investing in some boaphile cages. Here's the question. I have a couple of young snakes that will grow (and grow and grow...). What are your opinions on putting say a 24 inch snake into a 48 inch cage with plenty of hide spots? Thanks in advance!

If you put plenty of hides and stuff like cork bark, vines, etc to take up space they should be fine.
