I'm getting a male and female peruvian, 8 months old each. When they reach maturity might they be able to breed being from the same litter? I'm paying $600 for the pair, is that a good price? I'm getting them from Rio Bravo Reptiles, any comments on them?

Also how do you feel about getting snakes from reptile shows? We have a show coming in Aug.

Moving your post here to the breeder forum..seeing as that seems to be the basis of your post here.

YES I have np and do buy at shows. Ya just gotta make sure it's a reputable dealer is all. Look all around first...don't go buying from the first table you wind up at is all.

Also..An advantage to buying at the shows is that you get to check out the animal hands on first prior to buying it.

gus rentfro is one of the best locality specific breeders thats out there today.

first off- you can be rest assured that they are not mutts, that they are eating very well, and they will be HUGE!!! these iquitos peruvian bcc get really big!!

yes, they can breed even though they are brother and sister, but i would look for another pair of equal or better beauty to be their mates. alot of people do it, but i dont.

either way you go- gus is the man and you wont be sorry at all!

check out his site and see what he produces!! www.riobravoreptiles.com

locality specific boids and colubrids. this guy does good sh@T

$600 is a good price for 2 of them. usually they go for $350+ each.
