well I had never breed or had a snake lay eggs before but Iwas guessing my female was gravid from my antheristic male. He had been in their with her since june and started stimulating her right away. she was basking in a 90 degree plus or minus a couple degree basking spot and darkened a lot, and quite eating. she layed 13 slugs last night and i had mixed emotions , but now i know i was right! But i don't have any babies! any chances of any still popping out? should i try to breed her again this season?

BCI females tend to be VERY aggressive once they give birth. They do calm down though after a bit. usually that is lol.
As for the "guarding" the babies thing. BCI/BOAS could care less when it comes to such really. Allthough they do tend to make sure that they do not lie on the babies,..they do NOT gurard them however.
If I am not mistaken..About the only reptile that actually "guards" it's young to any extent is the crocodilian[s].

if they are not "guarding" their babies are they just "#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& off" because they gave birth? I understand the aggressiveness either way but why? are you saying they are just stressed if their not guarding their babies?

LOL.. YUP they are HUNGRY after birthing ! lol They will actually come at ya when you open the cage after they have birthed..even the most docile ones will do this. Can be understandable as they usually go off feed for a bit when gravid. I think one of Morti's lunged at his face after birthing this year even.
Naw they are not stressed so to say..just #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& off basically lol

Umm..Nope..Not that I know of at all. They have their babies all at once . Not like a cat or dog that can give birth to like 3 and then have some more the next day...
