I was wondering how long it eill take for me to know if my female BP is gravid. Apparently, she's spossa go off food within 3wks of mating. But, how long until she starts getting plumper?

That's a really tricky question. Different snakes (even in the same species) show at different times. I really don't have any interest in BP's so I know very little. I do know that you can go out and buy books like The Reproductive Husbandy of Pythons and Boas by Ross and Marzec. You could also go to VPI.com and check out Dave and Tracy Barkers publications. They have several videos about Royals and have written books about pythons as well.
I personally have the book by Ross and Marzec and love it. It stays on my coffee table and I use it to look up little facts often.
Good luck,
Ted

Well,
it is when they start getting bigger (plump)
also inverted posture under or on the basking area is a screaming indication.
Ball pythons are also good at false alarms,
I know many who have thought them to be gravid, then one day, they dont appear that way anymore.
