Quick question.
I had my normal boas mate with a normal boas last year.
How well do they retain sperm?
Because I would like to mate them with an albino male this year to make some hets.....
Will she retain enough sperm to make at least one or two snakes from the litter questionable?
I mean if I mate them with an albino this year....what are the chances that a couple of the babies produced will be retained sperm from last year?
or should I make them wait a year and just use my virgin nine footer?

Don't forget that she dropped slugs last month.
This world would be interesting if humans retained sperm.

I saw on t.v. a professor who keeps a bunch of hots...he has a female rattlesnake that had NEVER been with a male and she had a baby. I've heard that some female vipers do this. Parthenogenesis is coming...better start sucking up guys!

Chyna used stored sperm to get pregnant in 2000. We got her in Nov. and the month before she had dropped slugs. Some time in Dec. she used the stored sperm to get pregnant. Our vet said that the sperm was viable from 1 to 2 months.

Hey Ritchie...Chyna is a Boa...that may be your best piece of info on here. The hypos he had are from a case of stored sperm.
