Breeding BPs?

So, I go to check on my snakes this morning when I got up and . . . my 2 big BPs are mating away! I guess now I know what sex each is. Eug.

So, how often do snakes start mating without their keeper doing ANY WORK? I wasn't trying to get them breeding or anything. But they're boinking away.

Anyway, I'm off to research incubators and breeding and all kinds of goodness.

Now, Satan's (the girl) is shedding right now. If she becomes gravid, will she eat when she's done shedding? It's been three weeks for the big ones, and I was waiting for her to get her shed done (Pepito just shed 2 days ago) before I fed the 2 of them.

Should I just get one rat and try to feed her? If she takes it, go buy another for Pepito. If not, just feed him.

LOL. I had no idea what sex they were. But I figured that as long as I wasn't TRYING to get them to mate, they wouldn't. As far as I've read, it takes about a year's worth of effort to mate them. So, I wasn't worried about them mating. I guess I know better now. *shrug*

I know. I mean, if they wanted to give something away, have them buy the snake and get a free cage or something. I dunno.

Did you see their snake prices? $19.99 for BP. Makes me wonder if they're wild-caught.

Well, last time I checked on them, they were still going at it. So, they're still together. But I'll have to leave them together until I get my new cage finished. Should I seperate them as soon as possible?

When I got mine it was $40.00 & the man said it is a good eater he said it was a girl. I found out it was not a good eater & it was a male.
no leave him in with her for a few days see if you wont to make sure she will have eggs thay need to stay togher for a few. Well that is what my uncle told me.

see she may mate more than 1 time she may mate 2 or 3 times.

Mine (the one I bought, not the adopted 2) was priced at $80, but the recipte (sp?) said $40. All is good, hehe. That one, I don't know it's sex, but I've never had any trouble getting it to eat. Or the other two.

Okay. After that few days, do I need to seperate them, or is it okay to leave them together for a bit longer? (I need to figure out if I need to get my dad to hurry up and help with the building.)
