Just wondering who in the forum is pouring some real effort into this?
And what their projects are?
A lot of people do it for cleaner more pink/orange bci... but is anyone one breeding for darker bci? high contrast? high yellow? purple? i've seen purple bci floating around on the internet....one word for those ones ....SAWHEET....
anybody breeding for windowpeaks?
im madly in love with window peaks and to have a pure colombian with windowpeaks would be just awesome!
or blue? you know that grey/blue color that sometime shows up in pastel or pastel like colombians... anybody breeding to increase that?
they're are so many avenues? how do you choose?

I know what you mean by the widows peaks, Jess. I love them too. I have a BC I with widows peaks all the way down. they're not quite like peaks that are typically on BCC, they're thicker, and a little "sharper". this little gal's got three white squares on her tale also . I have not bred her yet, still got a few years till she's mature, so not sure if they are genetic or not. *crossing fingers*
I'm looking for a BCI female with more than avarage pink for a pet/and breeding with my more than avarage pink male. (but who here isn't ) -Juggalo

Sweet!
How old is your window peaked girl?
ermm... what I'm trying to say is when will she breed?
Do you have a boyfriend to go with her yet? I think I saw a peaked colombian in over at k-snake a while ago... can't remember when/where, ah-well...
Yup everybody is!
Speaking of girls, I seem to have 1.5 ratio of older bci, which is getting quite silly...
I really need to get some boys,...
but actually I'm keeping 5 males from this years progeny. So maybe they'll be able to tie up all the loose ends... *he he*
Although I did want to breed my one high pink yearling "Kitten" to a nice salmon....
*sigh* now i have to go rooting around for a good one of those...
BUT first I need to sell some more babies....
ah, the woes of life.....
And if it means anything to anybody,
my projects are:
-dark and dirty (he he)
-symmetrical with large round white thingy's, you know the white accents that are on the saddles (do they have a name???)
-clean, light (as can possibly be but still slightly creamy) with no color (orange, yellow, pink, red) washed out saddles and washed out tail
and I'm mildly wondering whether or not i should bother with trying to prove the "pied" spot on one of my boas....
i guess i'll decide that when the time comes...

Yup, I've got a male for her. he is very unusual. he has one long line about 2 centimeters thick that connects 4-5 saddles (kind of like how you'r Mr. Snakey has those 2 saddles connected about half way down, only my guy has the connection in the middle instead of on the side, and it's connecting a few more saddles *if that makes any sense* ) then after that he's got one looooong saddle, and his tail is striped. her tail is also striped, but there are 3 white square spaces in it. really unique looking snakes, beautiful IMO. they are both April 02 babies. not sure if they are genetic on not yet. they might be abnormal due to incubation temps, just not sure yet, can't wait to find out though!! -Juggalo

This is my little 0.1, it's not a very close pic, so you can't see much detail, but if you go in my RTB album, you can zoom up on her and really the the peaks. hehe, she actully has a "tattoo" of her boyfriend! that one saddle about halfway down that is longer than the rest has a ! in it. that is what his name is on my "snake tracking chart". his full name is !!zhuremamph!! it's a sound, not a word, hehe.
this is my oldest, Zeus. he's lookin pretty dark, usually a lot lighter.
So I've got another 2.0 I have no pics of. Annette's boyfriend, and Jesus (about 1.5-2 yrs. old) I know, I know, I've already posted these pics, hehe, It's the only one's Ive got! -Juggalo

Ha ha... I guess this is our thread...
If we could get the boaphile in here maybe he'd have a few things to say
Is that one of wsacbass' babies? The female I mean...
It has a wicked pattern and a "ladder-tail" to boot...
lovely!
I was cleaning cages last night and noticed that some of the my '02 have windowpeaks, not very dramtic (you have to look to find them) but it's something... lol

We have several that we are selectivly breeding. We are working with a pair of Jeff Ronne pastels. We are also breeding for high orange, pink. Beleive it or not we are also trying to breed for more peppering (My brother inlaws project) LOL. We are trying for lots of stuff. I can't keep it all straight. If you look in our album you can see pics of most of our boas. I am a little behind putting up the rest.
Here is a pic of Cash our Ronne pastel male.

NICE!
Urghh... the pastel is soooo tempting.
I need to get myself a couple of those....
I would make my life way easier; i could by passes a couple generations of selective breeding in my own projects just by using some of ronnes animals... But then there comes the problem of the "name game" and everything else.... *grumbles*
*sigh*
Well... I'll see it to all of that later...
Peppered eh? Sounds interesting. Lighten up the background and you can have cookies and cream... he he....
Good luck with all your projects!
Oh and I checked out your album, nice all the way around. You have a lovely collection there.

I'll be breeding a Fine Line hypo to a washington pastel dream and a Dubay pastel. It won't be for a couple of years though.

Thanx Veg
The pic of cash was taken right after we got him. He is getting bigger and his colors are getting really nice. We have a lot more pics to put in the albums but can never find the time to stick em in. Thanx again Joe
