I am not surprised that they are different being as we are mammels and they are reptiles. When I said I thought they would be alike I meant in the sense that mother gives half, father gives the other half. I imagine that is the same almost across the board when considering animals that reproduce sexually.
I think that genetics are immensly facinating, but I am sure that it bores most to tears! I would love to hear an explanation as to why the
ATB does not really stick to the genetic rules so to say. My guess is that their pigmantation is completly different than other boas. My best guess is that most pigmintaion is either co-dominant or controlled by several genes with some being mutually exclusive. Who knows, I'll quit boring everyone now!
