Hhetto, Het for free, what ever you call it, its working. PICS
Well heres my incubator. I posted in the other fourm about how my female unexpectedly laid eggs so I made one from what I had handy. Heres some pics of it and the eggs. I doubt the eggs will hatch but I will not call them bad yet. I used a cooler that we were throwing out and removed the tub thing that holds ice and what not. I took a rubbermaid that fit in with zero wiggle room(as you can see in the pics and set it in there. There is an old heat mat which I don't use anymore that is at the bottom. I made spacers in it to hold the box certain distances from the heat mat. On the heat mat the tub gets 93 and at the top of the cooler it stays in the 83 range

Enjoy and I appreciate comments and suggestions. Do the eggs look good still? What are the brown spots on the one Is it mold? Does that mean its bad? Remember, these were laid yesterday

For being completely unprepared I think you did really well..I wouldnt have thought of the cooler..
As long as the temps and humidity are good, that is all really you can do once they are laid. Just watch them!

I am starting to think the one with the close up shot is infertile but only time and smell will tell.

I was told the medium was too wet so I changed it out with some more ringed out and less wet bedding. They said it was much better now. Gotta love the gecko breeders

Well, they may or may not be viable eggs, but I think you are giving it your best shot with the information you were given from the original owner and what you were able to do.
All you can do is your best and that is all anyone can ask.
So I wouldnt worry too much, it will be a good learning experience for you either way.
