Id say 6x2x17.5 is a great size. But of course the bigger the better. some people breed in a 4ft cage but i belive that to be to small

Are you prepared to house and feed 30 potential babies? I believe very few people that get the idea to breed go through will it because of the enormous requierments involved. You will need to build a rack system that holds 20-30 tubs and make sure you have all the heating right. Then you will need 20-30 apropriately sized rats a week. You would need either a large breeding group or a whole lot of f/t in all differnt sizes. For example, a boa will out grow a pinkie rat in no time at all so then you will have to have all the fuzzies ready. Do you have a person to buy them? Most people that buy boas aren't prepared for the responsibilty that come with them. Lets say its a rtb, people that get them as a 2' baby don't realize that they will be 7' one day. I know that nearly everyone here that has a boa would feel horrible if they breed the snakes and sell the babies to unresonsible individules that neglect the snake and therefore leads to early death. If you have some people lined up that you know you could trust with the snakes and you can care for them as much as they need, then go for it. But remeber flipping through 20+ tubs with snakes in them to find where the smell is coming from on a day to day basis will get a bit annoying.

Back in 96 I ran aplace called Long Island Repxotics.Sold only reptiles. So I know plenty about the care, feeding and cleaning we had to breed mice and rats to feed.I favor the boas because I bought a group (5) three females and two male brazilian rainbow boas from strickly reptiles in florida three months later one of the females gave me 14 babies. I didn't know until she didn't want eat for two weeks that she was gravid so i kept an eye on her and got lucky and watch her have them.Ever since then I have wanted to breed but never had the time .
So I have decided to make time and do this the right way and get opinions on how from people who know from their experiences. Thanks again for the response.
