Do turtles ever cross breed in the wild/captivity?

Do turtles ever cross breed in the wild/captivity?
I assume yellow belly sliders and red-eared sliders could work?
If anyone has photos I’d really like to see.

Yes, several of the sliders species integrate in some of the areas where their ranges overlap. I don't know if anyone is purposely creating turtle intergrades. I have several photos that I will try to post over the weekend.

In the wild painted turtles live an average of about 28-34 years. The oldest painted turtle documented lived 40 years.
