I do not know much about this morph (if it's pure BCI, cross, or what...)
There were some discussions about them over on KS, but I didn't have time to
read it all..
anyways, these are two pics of a male "leopard boa" that I saw at the San Mateo IRBA
show (I do not remember the vender's name...) They were selling a pair for 4-6K I think..
You can see the female curled up in the background in this one.. (and yes, those are salmon
boas underneath)

Just thought some would like to see these pics..

I may be picking up a rescue soon, male guyana that's in bad shape... looks like I may be
coming back with more questions soon! lol take care all

Brief synopsis...

Pure Sonoran BCI

Breed a leopard to a leopard, and you get no leopard offspring. You do, however, get striped ofspring.

That's not to say that the leopard morph is not genetic. On the contrary, I believe that it is, although it does not follow the traditional rules of heritability.

"breed a leopard to a leopard and you get striped"

Is it sort of like salmon to slamon and you get super salmon...

the leopard is the precursor t the striped....

can we preclude that the leopards are actually het for striped?

Actually, the leopards were derived from normal-appearing boas. To the best of my knowlege, only a handful of people have produced this morph, also called "mephisto boa".

Striped is one of several abberancies produced by leopard boas. Hermann Stoekl had a reather informative post regarding leopard boas on kingsnake.com, but it seems to now be lost in the abyss- too old to be on the forum, but too new to be in the archives.
