Hello. I have a pair of Bolivian Amarali that I want to breed in the future. The female is around 4' and the male is around 2.5'. Do you think they will be able to breed in the year 2003? Also, I have heard that Amarali are sometimes difficult to breed. Could someone explain why?

Thanks!

wow!

i thought i answered this a while ago.....well, here goes again.

the male will definitly be ready, the female may not be! i would wait awhile for the female to be of proper breeding size, weight, and girth!

i know several people who breed them (though i have been unlucky in aquiring babies )

just follow regular breeding husbandry. when the time comes do the proper weather and climactic changes.

hey, when you do breed in the future- lemme know- i will definitly take some babies!!!

I have produced 6 or 8 litters of Bolivian amaralli. The youngest female I have bred to date was 8 years old when she produced. The youngest male was only 4 years old and 3 1/2' long. I like to keep my males small. Not enchoraging I know but this was my reality. I don't give up easy.
