Anyone out there Near Cincinnati?

I have just moved to Cincinnati and need to find some local Herp people as well as a good source for food as well as any other interesting things going on in town. I'm over in the Milford area.

BTW what are the state laws on having snakes and sizes here?

Thanks

--Nick

I don't know about stuff to do and whatnot, I'm pretty far north compared to you, but I do know that the laws vary more by town around here. You should have a Reptile society around you, give 'em a call. You'll make some friends, find your rules, and have something to do!

O.k., I was just on another site and oddly enough a post was about area laws! Freaky! So go to www.municode.com and do as you're told. I got as far as Cincinnati and the it wanted things my computer doesn't do. But try it.

I live in Cincinnati. I've got a BCI. There's a place called Arrowhead Reptile Rescue. I've never dealt with them, personally, but their site says they sell frozen food.

I live in Hamilton, a few miles north of cincinnati, but Arrowhead Reptile Rescue is within 10 minutes or so from my house. I bought my feeders from him last time I restocked, and have another order placed with him now. The prices are great, especially if you pick up your order at their facility. Damien can get nearly anything in that you need, and he is a great resource in the Cincinnati area. Arrowhead also works in cooperation with the Cincinnati Museum Center, Newport aquarium, and other high profile organizations in the city. I highly recommend them if you need a feeder source in Cincy.

Personally I have 2 RTBs, one is a 3'+ male, and the other is a 5mo old female. I wouldn't get my feeders anywhere else, now that I have found Arrowhead. They can always use volunteers, too, if you have any spare time.

Welcome to the Queen City, aerosurfer. I'll be glad to chat with ya if ya need another herper in Cincy jbconley@peoplepc.com I don't check my email every day, but feel free to email me if ya want to.

I can tell ya that there is herp vet out in Eastgate who took pretty good care of my boy before I moved up here. I'll try to find his name if you need one in the area.

Jackie

There's another good herp vet in Mt. Lookout. Right on Mt. Lookout square. Dr. Levitus. Specializes in Iggy's but is very knowledgable about snakes. Will give meds for free most of the time.
