America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. – John Quincy Adams (1821)

Re: Lovers
They are BCI from Mexico. Tamaulipas, Mexico to be exact. They were introduced in the hobby by Gus and they are probably one of the most interesting of the Central American boas I've ever seen!

I've seen some pictures of the parents (Gus has posted some photos here in the past as well) and they are just out of this world. Also, as far as I can tell, these boas are extremely in tune with their environment. I spend a lot of time observing my boas and these two respond to changes in humidity and ambient temperature and lighting faster than any of my other boas. Whether that's true for all dwarf boas, I'm not quite sure, as these are the only dwarfs I've ever owned. It's pretty neat either way!
