what size rats is he eating? and is the stretching near his rear? Have you tried soaking him in warm water?

When mine were younger they would hold it.He may be doing that. They just let it fly one day. My female is 6ft and just poo'ed for the first time since nov. She took a dump about 3ft long and as big as a baseball.
Friggin nasty.

he just outgrew small rats so next time will be medium, the stretching is near the rear. right about where the black and white part of his tail starts, and yes i've given him numerous warm soaks...he just plays around

Re: what do you think?
Well, Jack finally let go and made my entire room smell awful. I took a picture of it thinking i would show how big it was but...i think i'll spare everyone that...Good news is that he is eating medium rats, growing reallllly fast, and now he is finally pooping again.

Re: what do you think?
Here we go with the emergency soak business.... DOn't worry... you're boa just has food in his digestive tract.. the longer it stays there .. the more nutrients they absorb.... nothing to be alarmed about...... Boas have a pretty slow metabolism as far as snakes go... No need to soak him.......
Impaction is pretty rare in boas..... I would only get concerned it the back end looked blown up like a balloon... the pic looks completely normal..... He'll poo when he's ready.....

Re: what do you think?
i have a little baby boa (about 8month old male) that didnt poop for a good month and a half going on 2 months and finally he let it rip, lots of uri and poo.
this may be just an isolated thing with my collection but it seems my bps have a lot more waste action that the boas do. the boas usually go about once a month with regular weekly feedings while the bps are every 2 weeks or so with many urates in between.
i had one of my female boas hold it in for a little over a month, i soaked her, she pooped the next day. this male boa did it on his own, and it was A LOT. i think they will just go when they need to. i continue feeding even when they havent pooped, theyll do it when theyre ready.

Yeah I just saw that.... but others that may read this may have the same problem...... people tend to worry too much about things like this... There is such a strong tendancy of mankind to want to intervene... sometimes we just have to step back and let the boas do what they're best at.. being boas//
