Constipation?
I know, I know, it can sometimes take them a while to poop, but it doesn't make it any easier lol. Goldie hasn't pooped or passed any urates since 5/25. Im a little worried as she is pretty regular about 20-25 days. The only change would be moving her to 10 days instead of 7 for feeding. I guess this could account for it, but I haven't been able to see any urates either which worries me. Shes alert, healthy looking and everything seems normal excecpt for her mid-section is pretty big right now from holding it. I took her outside today and did the warm bath and everything with no luck. Should I be worried and take her to the vet or should I give her some more time?

Re: Constipation?
I feed her on newspaper on top of aspen and I watch her closely to make sure she doesn't drag it onto substrate. So far she always eats it on the paper so I cant see ingesting anything unusual as being why its taking her long.

Re: Constipation?
i have snakes that go 2-3 months without defecating. if they are constipated, an owner/keeper can usually tell. they wont be as active, alot of times they dont flick their tongue as fast and as often. also, when you pick them up, if you palpate just cranially (toward the head) of the cloaca and see if you can palpate hard, think stuff (feces). some snakes just hold it until they shed next.
