@Danktat: I'm so in love with that surinam beauty!!
What a gorgous and big girl that is!

Thanks. Aside from the fact that she tried to kill me when she came out of the shipping box, she has been a pleasure to work with as well.

I was meaning the typical pet store/feeder rabbit breed. But thanks for the info, I didn't know there were giant breeds of rabbits. I figured all domestic rabbit breeds were about the same size. Yes that's one massive rabbit!

Re: Wabbit Eaters?
Is that a Flemish? I used to raise and show rabbits, but never the giants. I always wanted one though. I stuck with Netherland Dwarves, Californias, and Fuzzy Lops.
I would love to raise my own snake food, but now that I live with my mother again, she freaks out at the idea. She hates snakes, and won't let me raise anything that even resembles snake food in or around her house. She's bad enough about rats, the minute I mentioned rabbits she might kick me out.

I also don't feed my boa girl (or burmese python) that often..
When she or my burm gets a rabbit like that, they had enough for 3 months or so..

wow that is gorgeous how old is she/he i cant wait till mine is that big hopefully she will keep her color too

No I don't know how much that rabbit weighs, should definatly be more than 6lbs!
It's just that a rabbit should be more than 6lbs to be called a flemisch giant. If it weighs less than 6 lbs as an adult it normally doesn't get that name..

That rabbit isn't mine but I used the photo as example.
The person where I get my rabbits from has them to beside normal rabbits, dwarfisch rabbits and so called 'butterflys'. Butterflys are the rabbits that are mostly used for human consumption and are quite big as well.
I mostly get semi adult males and they weigh around 6lbs.

Nick there is a you tube thread with a rabbit gettin eaten by a 'tic live. It's best to give f/t n that takes a few hrs to thaw out a 4-5lb rabbit.
