Help IDing a RTB(No Picture)
I wanted to know what kind of RTB is at my local pet store and I wanted
to know if someone could help me out. I'll try to get a picture later.
They don't really have much color to them.
They have a dark gray color for most of their
body, and their tails are a gritty looking blackish
color.
Thanks for looking!
David

Re: Help IDing a RTB(No Picture)
I've known the owner for a long time, so he may let me get a few snapshots.
Thanks for the info, though.
I'll look it up.
*Edit*
Yep, that's it.
What do you think would be a fair price for one?

Re: Help IDing a RTB(No Picture)
Honestly I'd say anywhere from $150 - $175.
Take a few pictures, I'd love to see him!

Re: Help IDing a RTB(No Picture)
He's selling them for $125 here. They look nice, but I haven't held one yet. They were busy the day I went in there to hold snakes/check for bulbs.
They look very beautiful. I'm not sure if I like the colorful RTBs more yet, though.

Re: Help IDing a RTB(No Picture)
There is also a chance it's just a very dark central american boa, or not.

Re: Help IDing a RTB(No Picture)
I would have thought that if there was only one, but he has probably 25 babies with the same colors.

Re: Help IDing a RTB(No Picture)
He just put "Red Tail Boa."
He usually doesn't sell any sort of morph, so I was surprised.

Re: Help IDing a RTB(No Picture)
I would never buy a snake from someone who couldn't identify what they're selling. There are plenty of breeders and knowledgeable hobbyists out there with snakes for sale or adoption.

I'm 95% sure he does know what he's selling.
The store was busy when I came in to look, so I couldn't
ask.
Where would be the best place to buy them?
They look beautiful!
