Poseidon our new Boa

Ok so this is our new boa I said I had dropped payment on. His name is Poseidon meaning gentle and peace loving but when pushed to far can be as vicious as a hurricane. He is an unknown Local because the store we bought him from is more of a frog, lizard, fish and that kind of thing store lol. But I picked him out because I loved the beautiful cream color on his back any ways ON WITH THE PICTURES!!

Very cute snake. But I'm confused...you just posted a thread about how you lost your job and were struggling financially.

I remember your husband, before he got banned, started a thread taking up a collection for vet bills for the dogs. Yet on the same day he posted a thread about getting a new burm, which is a huge 20-year financial commitment. I remember this irritating me at the time, because it did not seem very responsible.

I'm not judging, just confused. A snake is a 20-year commitment, and not one to be taken lightly if your finances are not stable.

the burm was a rescue... not paid for. The dogs vet bill was about $8,000`not free as the burm was. Having to pay $8,000 in the period of a week was a little hard seeing as how we don't just have 8 grand just laying around.
My job cut my hours back to about 2 days a week so I put in my 2 weeks. Any ways I am not sure why I am explaining my self to any one. I felt betrayed by my job and needed to vent. I suppose I will not vent any more due to the fact that I will be judged for it. Besides that I paid for the snake before my job situation thanks for the concern though.

It just struck me as odd to hear of your financial troubles on the other thread, and then to see you adopting more animals on this one. I was reminded of your husband's two threads--one soliciting money from RTB members--and the other simultaneously introducing a newly adopted burm.

I would like to make the point that just because a snake is free or a rescue does not mean it is free or cheap to own. I wonder why people are adopting more animals if they are not financially stable.

Keep in mind, this is just my perception based on what I read in your other thread. Perhaps I read it wrong. Stuff like this is a trigger for me.

well star there is ABSLOUTLY no reason to worry about my animals, they are ALL well cared for. We have money but like I said before its no ones business about my financial situation all any one needs to know is that my animals are VERY VERY well taken care of. My thread before was illustrating my hatred for my previous job. We have money in savings enough to get us by for appx 3 months (again nobody's business) I was just frusterated by my employers lack of compassion for their employees who go above and beyond for them. Who do more than they are asked. and about the money it costs to care for our animals... no kidding we just spent $140 on food for karma and $105 on food for our others, and about my husbands thread... leave it out this is over 7 months after the fact and was not my thread now if we can NOT take away from my excitement over my new boa over stuff that is nobody els's business but MY OWN i would appreciate it. Again star thanks SOO much for your concern
