Re: DUW! Individual pics
They're in blue still, born last tuesday. They haven't shed quite yet, but I am taking deposits on them.
2-3 meals to go before they officially go up for sale.

Pretty babies
Gravid female boas are usually not supposed to be fed frequently or not at all during pregnancy. My girl Sahira ate a small rat about every 4-5 weeks during her pregnancy.

Re: DUW! Individual pics
Oh, I know. The same is true for almost all snakes. (actually, all that I can think of)
But I wasn't certain if she even WAS gravid. I never saw a definitive lock-up, and the timing for things was kind of off. So, I kept offering food, since it was convenient and it wasn't any skin off my nose since she'd refuse so I'd give the rat to the male that lives above her. He thought it was a great deal. lol

I've heard both sides to the argument. Personally I believe that they should be fed during gestation. I offered my two boas jumbo rats every other week during their pregnancy. I even gave one of them a 2 lb rabbit in the early stages, but didn't feed her again for a month. Most of the time they grabbed it right away, well except for Altariel, she likes to eat hers off newspaper ... I think that they should be provided nutrients during the developmental process and not forced to work off fat reserves. That being said I fast my females for 3-4 months during the winter and into the breeding season. Other animals show an increase in their dietary needs when they're pregnant why not for a boa or other ovoviviparous snake? They will eat if they feel hungry and turn their nose up if they don't want it, which they have on a few occasions.

Re: DUW! Individual pics
Death Upon Wanting....basically they're soooo friggin cute that yer heart is about to explode!!!
Ok...so not really means "dial up warning"....used when people post a lot of pictures in a thread to warn others that may still be using a dial up internet connect. That way they can stay away from the thread or else know to click on it and then walk away from their computer for a few hours while it struggles to display the images.
Does anyone even use dial up anymore?? I don't know of anyone (my family and friends) that does.
