What a night!

Holding the very first one... priceless. This is my friend Hava, who has apparently discovered a need for snakes. I can't believe Bunny actually gave birth with company over. x.x

And Hava being the perfect snakey midwife. I'll have her converted to snakeliness in no time.
All in all.... a great evening. Final count for tonight as of 1.55am is: 5 normals, 3 hypos, and... sigh.... 14 slugs. 
But, it's ok... better pictures tomorrow after I get home from work. The babies that I got out of it are worth all the slugs. |

Aww she was doing a great job. The boys in the room were all faux gagging and making rude commetns about birth in general, and Hava just reached right in to pull out a slimy sopping snake sack and ooh'ed and aww'ed over it...
Then she sat there with me talking "snake talk" and holding the flashlight and offering encouragement with me while we "helped" Bunny finish delivering... it was awesome.
She's a WAY better midwife than my man is. He retches and runs out of the room. He hates birth. Her presence was much more appreciated. LOL |
