I've been going this expo and I see some very dark boas
ARe these a subspecie, or just a dark colored boa?
They have more splattered black on them then the usual boa. I know it isn't a morph since they are priced the same.

Re: I've been going this expo and I see some very dark boas
Could be some dark phase Nicaraguans, or Argentines, possibly?

Re: I've been going this expo and I see some very dark boas
sounds like argentine BCO's, but without a pic, it could be a whole array of morphs, locales, or species

Re: I've been going this expo and I see some very dark boas
I have no pictures.
But I googled the suggested and the one that resembles the most is a Nicaraguan.

Re: I've been going this expo and I see some very dark boas
Let's see, Nicaraguan boas can be dark speckled, Mexican boas can be dark, Caulker Cays, Crawl Cays...could be a mix of any of them.
Did it resemble this one?

No, not that brown black. Unless they get different as adults.
Ones I saw where more like these.

Re: I've been going this expo and I see some very dark boas
That first one you posted is a nicaraguan ghost boa. Not likely to be priced like a normal. I believe they're going for approx $3000.
The second picture you posted looks like a normal central american.
And the third picture is a type 2 anery.
All three would look totally different from each other if seem in person.
My picture is of a dark, but normal nicaraguan.

Re: I've been going this expo and I see some very dark boas
They could be "plain ol' " Central Americans. You should ask the seller next time. Which expo have you been going to that you've seen them at?
