1 monitor bite from a 3-4 foot salvator. I got very lucky with this bite. Once I watched her cut a rat in half by shaking her head. I am thankful when this incident happened she let my thumb go and did not pursue really damaging me.

funny i should see this particular post tonight, because i just got tagged for the second time by my wild caught costa rican boa.

so there i was, minding my own business, shadow boxing in front of my boas face. sure, i was coming pretty close but thats the whole point. he acted like he wanted to strike, so i got on my knees REALLY close to him and started blowing in his face...

not exactly. this picture below is from the first time i got tagged on the pinky. today i found his water bowl turned over and when i was messing around in his cage he looked like he was NOT wanting me in there, so i approached him with the back of my hand and my thumb tucked in just in case. yep, *pow* he got me but didnt have anything to really bite down on like a finger.







for those of you wondering...yes, i spanked him and took away his Xbox 360.

Hi everyone. Saw the thread and just thought I'd add that Veronica nailed me tonight. I always feed her in her tank, but I put newspaper down first. She saw me putting the newspaper in. While I was smoothing it down, she came out of her hide box and nailed my finger. She's a very smart snake. She knows when she sees the newspaper that a rat will soon be falling from the sky. So chalk this one up to another stupid keeper's error.

Well mine is nowhere as impressive, but regardless of the severity of the bite the stun may be the same across the board. You just don't see it coming and it's done before you realize you've been tagged. In my case. I decided to play with my boas at @ midnight when I usually feed.
