Snake Handcuffs
Recently I traded a B&W Tegu for a 5.5ft female Dumeril Boa. She's a bit on the thin side but WOW is she strong. Of course she has to hang on to keep from falling but sometimes she wraps her tail around herself on my left wrist and then wraps her head around my right wrist. This is very difficult to get off when you don't have use much use of your hands. I don't want to hurt her or spray her just get the message through it's time to go home. It took me over 5 minutes to get her off last night. My wife was in the next room so if I had a real problem she would help. This problem is more of a laughing experience than a danger, but you never know.

Re: Snake Handcuffs
Dumeril's are strong snakes. My little girl sure can hold on when she wants too.

Are they stronger than RTB's?? Her tail is maybe 2" thick and I can't unpeel her without worrying about hurting her.

Re: Snake Handcuffs
My 6ft male RTB is SUPER clingy at first when I take him out and he's gotten wrapped around my arm with a few coils and it was reaaaaally hard to get him off, even with my free hand, but unwrapping him tail first was the easiest.

She's sneaky!! She wraps her body over the end of the tail making it really hard to unwrap.

Hey I joined 7 months ago but I've been lurking for over a year (still rather new compared to most of you). I'm a member of 6 or 7 other forums, and yes I'm slow with the pics! She's in blue right now, her eyes were almost completely white 2 nights ago (her first shed with us!). Maybe I'll take her out tonight. I've got 3 other snakes I should feed tonight.
