Re: Help if you can

So nobody knows about the whole outdoor cat making the snake devlope mites? I heard it from one pet store then the guy I got it from said that cant happen and the only way the sickeness or even mites will come is from other snakes or developing in the house, I just figured the cat could give it to him...then again cats usually dont get mites compared to fleas.

Re: Help if you can

Cats won't give mites to the snake, but you can bring them home from the pet shop on merchandise, rats, bedding or anything else from the store. Your cat can't give him mites, but although fleas aren't known for attacking snakes, they can irritate them.

Re: Help if you can

Thats excellent news, nah i mean my cat bring's in maybe 2-3 fleas a month on her, every month i put treatment to kill it and to be clean i bomb my room every 4 weeks.

Hes still very mellow, he eats on friday so will see, I had him out and he didnt move alot just curled on my hand. Im not complaining i love calm snakes, I just wanna make sure hes alright. Im bringing him with me to the store on friday so they can check ol dude out lol.
