I like my Peru Boas and coffe the same.
Black!! I have worked with allot of different flavors of Peru Boas over the last 20yrs. Gold, Yellow, Speckled, Thick saddled, Thin saddled and Clean of Speckling ect. ect. However, I love it when I have been lucky enough to aquire the Dark Ones! Not all for sure, but some Peru Boas have a tendency to Darken up with age. We wil be working in the future, with some that seem to carry this Black trait from birth. Peruvians, have always been the ultimate Boa to me and that is in, any flavor.......John J

Have never seen that before. I like your black boas too. And also they're making me crave a well done steak.

Re: I like my Peru Boas and coffe the same.
Here is another one. This girl, looks like a Melanogaster that I brought out of Ecuador 15yrs ago that is featured in my buddy Vin Russo's Book. Myself and Vinnie and Gus, have probably only seen 10-12 of these in the last 20yrs, but they have all seemed to share the same characteristics and not neccessarily have an all black belly. I only know of my one, that I brought back from ecuador that I can bank on the Locality, but regardless of wether they are a sub-species or not, they are indeed unique with dark characteristics that I just love......John J

Wow!!! That boa is gorgeous!! I love the iridescence, almost purplish reflecting on the tail, and then the bright red tail spots underneath.... Absolutely amazing.

Re: I like my Peru Boas and coffe the same.
Of course, here is a polar opposite. Pucallpa Peruvian that has the: thin Ink Black Saddles, and Clean and Yellow Body, that most desire. However, for me " I have never seen a ugly Peru Boa as long as it's pure! ".........John J
