Cleo's Idea of an Enclosure
God only knows how I slept trough this one, anyways, I woke up and saw everything that was on my shelf last night...on my floor. I was like "wait a minute...that stuff was up there last night...whats goin on here." I started looking around and sure enough, somehow Cleo managed to open her sliding glass doors, and snuck out, she crawled all over the room, went onto my bed, and onto my shelf (yes somehow I slept through this), and then she proceded to push all my belongings onto the floor. Sure enough I looked over and saw Cleo hanging out in my closet, I guess its kinda hard to loose a 6-7 foot boa in a bedroom, It might have been a different story if I sleep with my bedroom door open. So I went over and there she was curled up in my closet happy as can be...and since shes been paired with Alex, I was expecting Alex to be on the loose too, but no, apparently hes either trustworthy lol, or a wuss. I could just see it...
Cleo: Come one you Panzy, lets go for a Cruise
Alex: I dunno...I think Owen keeps the cage closed for a reason.
Cleo: Maybe if you were a lil more of a man, we would breed!
so thats the story lol, Needless to say I set up some better quality locks lol, and heres how the story unfolded after work
ok...I was always told that a snake is incapable of learning, and they dont work that way...I have had Cleo in the exact set-up for MONTHS, she has never escaped...Well last night she escaped...and that led to this thread, I got home from school, and low and behold she got out the same way again... I was very ticked...When I found her I had to coax her out, and that was no picnic. Her cage is Duct taped closed until tommorow when I get the new locks. I wish there was a store open that I could have gotten them at after school today, anyways, heres the pics, Im sure some will enjoy
This is the pic of the mess she made this morning knocking everything down
and here she is when I got home from school, and work, I could not believe she got out again, I have never had a snake escape aside of her. The pics were mildly amusing...I would have gotten a video of me extracting her from under her cage, but The language would have gotten me banned
here she is after I poked her with the hooks numerous times and swore to her to get out from under the cage
and what do you suppose Alex was doing during the whole ordeal?

Being a lazy Slug
lol, I just noticed she chucked everything on the ground except the stack of books about boa constrictors, she threw a savanna monitor book, 2 ball python books, and a gecko book...I think shes a racist lol she left the boa books in a neat stack ontop of adaras cage
enjoy my misfortune

Re: Cleo's Idea of an Enclosure
Its duct taped until tommorow, I need to get a friggen lock, but nowhere seels em big enough, cus the overlap of the sliding glass is like 1 foot, Duct tape is ghetto, but it is working for now. Shes been pushing it open using the thermometer cable comming through the sliding glass, she pushes on the cable, and it pulls the door open, she has never done it before, and now in the last 48 hours she did it 2 times, When I woke up today she was trying desperatly to push it open again
