curious

im just curious for what most bci owners prefer to use for bedding i use aspen but i dont know if you guys prefer one over the other i was just wondering because like i said i just got my new baby yesterday shes about 17" and what a beautiful snake i love snakes but im glad i gave up the bp's for this beautiful bci i gave them up because i didnt want to much on my plate. one step at a time i wanna be the best owner i can so i dont wanna over do it

I truthfully use Eco Earth. Humidity stays perfect and it is a breeze to clean. It isn't the cheapest but it is nice looking and my BCI seems to love it. Same goes for my BP.

i use cypress mulch
it's expensive at pet stores, but you can get it cheap in bulk from a hardware store like lowe's or home depot.

just make sure you lay it out in a thin layer on a baking sheet and cook it at 200 degrees for 30 mins to kill any mites of parasites that might be living in it

holds humidity well, mold resistant, nice dark color (nice to look at)

and remember, if you're using a loose substrate, feed in a seperate container to avoid any of the substrate being ingested
